trainersapphireSapphire Birch is the daughter of Professor Birch in the manga, and rival to Ruby throughout most of the R/S/E arc of Pokémon Special. Admittedly, this version took an odd turn as she ends up in various "other worlds" that began to change her personality for the worst.
She does have a nasty case of bipolar syndrome so it may be best to not piss her off in any real way.
Its noted she has a heavy hatred of any "Team" (Aqua, Galactic, Rocket; you name it she hates it) because of their inner motives towards the world.
She does seem to like studying books, namely of Pokémon themselves if she's not busy.
